We help people
Nau mai, Haere mai
Welcome to the Society of St Vincent de Paul, supporting communities throughout Aotearoa New Zealand with generosity and compassion.
The Society is an international non-profit organisation. We have been active in Aotearoa since 1867. We are present in 153 countries. In Te Tau Ihu o Te Waka (Top of the South) we have groups based in Tākaka, Motueka, Richmond, Stoke and Nelson.
We focus on helping people get back on their feet. Assistance that we give is practical. It is based on the situation and need, and the resources that we have available.
We have three popular Op Shops (Stoke, Nelson and Richmond) where bargains can be found. We welcome donations and bequests to support our mahi.
We have hundreds of volunteers and members who give their time and skills on a regular basis, and we are always looking for more people to help us help others.
